I just love the freshness spring brings! It was sunny and warm here for a few days and I feel new again. Spending time outside in the sun began to give a fresh glow to my skin which had grown pale from our cold Midwest winter. The farmer in me enjoyed tilling some soil. There is something about burying the old dead remnants of last year’s plant life to expose fresh soil for the new green plants! It renews my soul and spirit when I smell freshly tilled ground.
Our lives need that same renewing from time to time. We all go through dry valleys. Maybe you have gone though some like I have or maybe you are dealing with tough situations as you read this. Please do what you must to lift your spirit and see the good in life. Somewhere there is beauty and good even in the worst of storms. It is so easy to slip into the doldrums of spirit at times and see everything through darkened glasses. Can you take time to draw near to God so He can lift your spirit? If you need help, please contact Linda and I or someone that you trust to assist you. Our spirits can become like the soil covered with the deadness of the past. With tilling we can be restored and realize the great potential for fresh new growth.
Can you hear the whisper of God? Have you, as I have at times, allowed yourself to drift from His closeness? Or maybe you have never experienced His spirit touching yours? It may be time to draw closer than ever before. We will soon be celebrating Easter. As we pause to think of the great sacrifice Jesus made so we could be free of our sin, why not renew your relationship with Him. We all have sins that come between us and God – when we repent of them we can feel like new again!

He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!
He is the Keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!
He is the Architect of the universe and the Manager of all times.
He always was, He always is, and He always will be…
Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and never Undone!
He was bruised and brought healing!
He was pierced and eased pain!
He was persecuted and brought freedom!
He was dead and brought life!
He is risen and brings power!
He reigns and brings Peace!
The world can’t understand Him,
The armies can’t defeat Him,
The schools can’t explain Him,
And the leaders can’t ignore Him.
Herod couldn’t kill Him,
The Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him,
And the people couldn’t hold Him!
Nero couldn’t crush Him,
Hitler couldn’t silence Him,
The New Age can’t replace Him,
And the media can’t explain Him away!
I serve Him because His bond is love,
His burden is light,
And His goal for me is abundant life.
I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise,
The power of the powerful,
The ancient of days,
The ruler of rulers,
The leader of leaders,
The overseer of the over comers,
And the sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come.
He is everything for everybody, everywhere, every time, and every way.
He is God,
He is faithful.
I am His, and He is mine!
My Father in heaven can whip the father of this world.
So, if you’re wondering why I feel so secure, understand this…
He said it and that settles it.
God is in control,
I am on His side,
And that means all is well with my soul.
Everyday is a blessing for GOD IS!
