The Mind of a Child
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
- 1 Corinthians 13:11
Ever notice how a child views the world? Everything represents possibilities and adventure. They have not yet experienced defeat. How many tries does it take for a child to learn to walk? As many as it takes until they accomplish the goal. As we grow older and experience failure and disappointment we can lose the view that things are possible. Sometimes we can even view everything as not worth trying, or if we failed once we won’t attempt that again. When this happens we no longer make a difference for Jesus or our community – we just give up and exist. Yes, we mature as we grow older but let us not completely lose the mind of a child.
Some of the world’s most successful people failed at endeavors earlier in life. I like to still be a kid at heart in many ways. Keep looking for ways to change the world for good! It may mean being a little different or thinking outside the box. I believe that accepting a defeated life is a missed opportunity for success! But who knows when you or I, with God’s help and guidance, may just change a life, our community, or even the world? Please do your best to keep a positive outlook! Sometimes we want to see great strides toward success but always remember it is not always the speed of movement but the direction we are headed (this may be hard for racers to fathom). We can’t change our world if we don’t change our country, we can’t change our country if we don’t change our community, we can’t change our community before we change our family, we can’t change our family before we change ourselves. Will you join us in working for God and for good?

We here at RFC have many more ministry opportunities than we have staff to fill. If you know anyone who may be interested in becoming an RFC volunteer staffer we would love to talk with them about the possibilities.
Here’s to the CRAZY ONES,
the misfits, the rebels,
the troublemakers,
the round pegs in square holes …
the ones who see things differently –
they’re not fond of rules …
You can quote them,
disagree with them,
glorify or vilify them,
But the only thing you can’t do
is ignore them
because they change things …
They push the human race forward,
and while some may see them
as the Crazy Ones,
we see genius,
BECAUSE THE ONES WHO ARE CRAZY
ENOUGH TO THINK THAT THEY CAN
CHANGE THE WORLD …
ARE THE ONES WHO DO!
