The Kreider Connection
Racers For Christ
July, 2009 Newsletter
Have you ever considered just how big a part God plays in the decisions we make and the directions we go in life? I am sure not all of you will completely agree with my view, so I look forward to the discussions we may have. For a bench mark it would be helpful to read Matthew 14:22-33 in our Maker’s Manual. I find it interesting that when Jesus was walking on the water Peter asked Jesus, “Tell me to come to you.” I also want to note that Peter walked on the water as long as he looked at Jesus. When he took his eyes off of Jesus and feared his surroundings he began to sink. I take that to mean that we can walk on dry land all by ourselves as long as we never expect to accomplish anything extraordinary. But if we want a life that can do really big things or make a huge difference we must keep our eyes on Jesus. I can recount experiences in my life that only can be explained by God’s miraculous guidance through his Spirit’s leading. I also believe that if we read the Bible and believe what it says there will not only be fantastic things happen, but an unexplainable peace that goes with our journey.
So the choice is totally up to each one of us. Walk on dry land by our own strength and get by on this earth maybe having some really nice things along the way. Or walk with Jesus and let his Spirit guide us, having a much more contented life and assuring ourselves of an out of this world eternal retirement wonderland! What difference does it make to us what you decide? If you are one of the about 800 who receive this monthly, that means you are someone we care about. We would be terribly disappointed if we can’t spend eternity with you, our friends that we love! More important than us, God is saddened when folks reject the great gift he wants to freely give. So what or who are your eyes of faith focused on today?
May God richly bless each and every one of you!
